The present committee have been organising everything for many years, and feel in need of a break. We have also lost our excellent treasurer, and need a new one. A number of options were discussed, and it was finally agreed that the most suitable was to cancel the next season, ie September 2013 to September 2014. It was felt that a brief pause in things would hopefully give us time to sort out any problems, and come back relaxed. This received unanimous support from all the committee present.
A report would be sent to 'Roundabout' magazine giving details of this decision, and individual letters would be sent direct to members. The report would also ask if there is anyone who would be willing to take on the position of treasurer. Also some new committee members with fresh ideas would be very helpful.
